Intrepid and Fixing Sound Problem
After the installation of the Intrepid, there was a sound problem which I could not hear the flash video sounds on my browser. In order to fix the problems like that, you can fallow the procedures above.
at First you need to backup and delete after the backup your old confiiguration with the command;
$ mkdir ~/pulse-backup && cp -r ~/.pulse ~/.asound* /etc/asound.conf /etc/pulse -t ~/pulse-backup/
$ sudo rm -r ~/.pulse ~/.asound* /etc/asound.conf
after that you have to ensure you have Adobe Flash & the necessary PulseAudio libraries and configuration utilities installed
$ sudo apt-get install libasound2-plugins padevchooser libao-pulse libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio flashplugin-nonfree
and also if you have libflashsupport package, you should remove it with that command
$ sudo apt-get remove –purge libflashsupport flashplugin-nonfree-extrasound
Open System/Preferences/Sound. In the Devices section, ensure that all "Sound playback" options are set to Autodetect. Set the "Sound capture" item to "PulseAudio". Close the application when you’re finished.
After all of these steps, you need to add the fallowing repos to you /etc/sources.list
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/psyke83/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/psyke83/ubuntu intrepid main
and do apt-get update also do apt-get dist-upgrade
